How Our Club Works
Please join us at one of our Tuesday Noon meetings held at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, 1175 Beach Drive in Oak Bay, Victoria, British Columbia. Visitors are always welcome. We meet in the stately David Foster Foundation Theatre. At 5PM every last Thursday of the month, we meet casually for an hour or so upstairs at the Penny Farthing Pub on Oak Bay Avenue. You are welcome to join us at any time.
Why I Joined
I checked out a meeting at the Rotary Club of Oak Bay about a year ago, met funny and down-to-earth folks that I knew I could become friends with, filled out an application, and haven't looked back. In one year, I helped organize a fundraising concert for Syrian refugees and literacy projects, worked with local disaster relief organization Disaster Aid Canada, ran a station at an Amazing Race-style fundraiser, and rang the kettle bell for Salvation Army Christmas dinner. Being a part of Rotary means having the opportunity to connect with like-minded people, to contribute to the local and global community, and to empower people all over the world to help themselves. Want to make a difference? Join a Rotary club.
