Who Are we?

Rotaract is a service club for post-secondary students and young professionals, with goals to fundraise and volunteer for local and international non-profit organizations, to develop leadership skills, and to build future Rotarians. We promote and live by the well-known Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”

Discover Your Passion

We are continually active in the international and local community. Some of our many local projects include volunteering serving meals at Our Place Society, pulling invasive weed species at local parks, and sponsoring the BC Children's Hospital Foundation annual Festival of Trees. Other focus areas include international projects, and literacy-focussed fundraisers and events. In addition, we regularly assist with Rotary Events around Victoria. In total, our club has donated not only tens of thousands of dollars to our local and international communities, but thousands of volunteer hours.

Be Part of Something Unique

Rotaract is an opportunity to work with a group of passionate, community-minded young people. Joining the club affords members the opportunity to support causes important to them, and the community. In addition, it is a great way to meet new people and make connections in Victoria.

How Our Club Works

We meet every week to plan events, listen to inspiring guest speakers, or attend professional development workshops. Outside of regular meeting times there are further opportunities to be involved: volunteering at events, joining a committee, or serving in an executive position.

Why I Joined

After joining Rotaract 4 years ago, I have been able to leave a positive mark on my local and global community, while also making countless new friends who share the same passion for Service Above Self.

I joined Rotaract to meet new people and support my community. I am so glad to say that both of these have come true throughout my time in the club. Rotaract afforded me the opportunity to work with an awesome group of committed young people to support organizations doing good, while also developing my abilities as a leader and an organizer.
